Calling Recent Graduates & Early Careerists: Join Our Board of Directors

The nccPA Health Foundation is seeking a recent PA graduate or early careerist to serve on its Board of Directors. If you’re passionate about how Certified PAs are improving health, submit your application for Board service by Thursday, July 27, 2023.

“Nearly 50,000 PAs have joined the workforce in the last five years.  With the PA profession growing rapidly, we’ve created this dedicated seat on our Board of Directors to ensure our discussions include the important perspective of those entering our profession,” said Board Chair Erin C. Crown, MHSPAS, PA-C, CAQ-Psychiatry.

Prospective candidates should be ready to actively share their lived experience as well as the unique, recent graduate/early career perspective to help the Health Foundation enhance the grant programs and other initiatives that support PAs and PA students.

Crown added, “Given the Health Foundation’s role and scope and the support we provide new members, we hope this leadership opportunity will equip a recent graduate with valuable Board experience and foster a lifelong commitment to service.”

To be eligible for this dedicated one-term seat, applicants should have received their initial NCCPA certification on or after January 1, 2019. Further, the elected director should be able to commit to serve one (1) three-year term (2024-2026).

The Health Foundation will review candidates and conduct interviews with top candidates in the late summer and fall.  The new director will be elected in November and begin serving on the Board as of January 1, 2024.
