Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Waiver Training

To apply for a waiver to prescribe buprenorphine, a medication used to treat opioid addiction, PAs must, in accordance with the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA), complete 24 hours of specialized training (8 hours of MAT waiver training and an additional 16 hours of training).  Learn about free waiver training education, which also qualifies for CME credit, at the Providers Clinical Support System.
